Sunday 11th February will go down in history as the most epic Cub Water Fight of all time! 124 Maroondah District Cubs and their leaders descended on Clifton Park for a celebration of all things Aquatic. We built a skirmish maze of cardboard fridge boxes for an intense game of Waterfight 'Capture the Flag' , Cubs manning Giant catapults launched bucket loads of wet sponges at the cubs in the maze, we sent bottle rockets whizzing off into the stratosphere, we played lifesize battleships with wet sponges and we went careening down the famous Clifford Park Waterslide into the Yabby Infested Dam below. Crustaceans who had been evacuated prior to the event were on display at the Pond Dipping activity where Cubs used charts to identify all manor of creatures from the Pond Slime. This whole program was dreamed up by the cubs themselves at a Leadership Training Day Brainstorm. Many thanks go to the Cub Leaders of Maroondah district who threw in to make the day a roaring success.
