Coal Creek Camp

Last weekend 3RE combined with our friends at Heathmont for the Coal Creek Camp in Korumburra. What an amazing weekend that was! Our camp was themed around Australia's Pioneers and in addition to writing with a quill and ink in an 'old school' classroom lesson and scrubbing clothes on a washboard, nature gave us a taste of what life was like before paved roads and plumbing. I am very impressed by the resilience, courage and cheerfulness shown by the pack under less than ideal weather conditions. Coal Creek is a wonderful place where volunteers work to share the history of the area with us. They were most accommodating to our cubs and were rewarded with good manners, respect and curiosity in return. Many thanks to all the people who worked so hard to make this awesome Weekend happen.
