Tiger Campfire Holiday

The 3RE cubs all had a great time on this weekends Tiger Campfire Holiday.
We built and raced supersonic chariots,
We made all our own Cubway Lunches,
We tracked down that mean no good Shere Kahn when he stole our marshmallows,
We all came out the creek crossing with a few pet leeches
We went on a hike wearing silly hats,
We had a synchronised campfire at the sametime as every cub scout in Australia and reaffirmed our promise at 8:00pm nation wide.
Our Sixers navigated and and we hiked all the way though the bush to the old charcoal kiln at Kirth Kiln where they used to make gas to run cars during the war. We made trail signs along the way so we could find our way home.
I imagine the Cubs were all almost as tired and sore as the leaders were come Monday morning!
Don't forget to sew your new badge onto your camp blanket if you need to get a blanket, any old woolen blanket from the op shop will do, or go here. Please note: We like our cubs to have blankets and jumpers "made of sheep" on camp as that way we are less flammable on campfire nights.
Big thankyous to Bagheera and Jayden who kept us fed and to Rikki and Rama who did such a great job coordinating activities and herding cubs.
Huge thankyous to the wonderful parents who helped sweep and mop the bunkhouse kitchen and loos.
Most of all, thanks to all the Cubs who knuckled down, toughened up and had a great time despite or perhaps because of the challenges which they faced with cheery enthusiasm. Awesome Job!
