The Cubs of 3RE completed their Level 1 Cyclist badge with a 14.5 Km ride through the beautiful Yarra Valley Rail Trail. We started in Woori Yallock set out toward Launching Place and then doubled back. Cubs demonstrated their knowledge of bicycle rules and hand signals to qualify for the practical component of the badge work that they started on Rama's Bike Night on Wednesday.

The Yarra Valley was showing signs of impending spring evidenced in the wattle, apple and cherry blossom on the trees and frog spawn in the water. We saw cows, calves, ducks, kookaburras, horned sheep, lambs and some crazy sort of moose-deer-things (I am offering a Freddo Frog bounty to anyone who can make a positive ID on the Moose-deer-things). The Cubs survived with no major injuries and all limbs attached. It only rained for most of the time.
